As being born on the small island Nengah Seta is the perfect driver for Nusa Penida. You can find him normally in the Hanoman Street in Ubud waiting for customers to bring where ever they want to go.But Nusa Penida is his speciality. For the ferry he arranges everything. Sometimes not easy because there are more cars than the capacity of the boat. But Seta always knows a way.

Going by boat is already an adventure on its own. It takes one hour to reach the other shore.
And sometimes his friendly wife goes also. Here with Fifi.

Once on his home island Seta is really in a good mood, knowing that he sees his family and friends again.

Nusa Penida is 25 kilometers long and from there you can see Bali(on the picture the Gunung Agung is visible)Here we go with him to the house of his mother. We enjoyed a warm welcome.
Where Fifi is soon surrounded by the many children.

They really are stars and they act like that as small as they are.

Here Seta is showing us his village Kutampi, meeting many friends.

And this woman was happy to meet Fifi in the small temple.

Of course we do a lot of sightseeing. We are interested in temples. Seta cares for the offerings.
And helps Hans with putting the "udang". Seta is the perfect helping hand.

Here we are in the Pura Penataran Ped. Where the famous Ratu Gede Mas Mecaling is venerated.

In fact this temple consists of four temples. Above the Pura Segara (the seatemple), under the Pura Taman (surrounded by a beautiful pond).

Once there was also a very special ceremony in the famous Pura Ped. Many many people, also from Bali.

.

Another famous temple is the cavetemple the Pura Giri Putri.
We went there two times. A very friendly priest.

On Nusa Penida you can see many brown cows.

Many temples are built of limestone. Beautiful sight of the white/yellow stone against the blue sky.

And boys who want on the picture you find everywhere.

The famous Pura Puncak Mundi, in the mountains, on the middle on the island. In Batukandik you can find this temple the Pura Puseh Landesa with a remarkable throne.

The friendly guide and priest in the Pura Saab (in fact consisting of 3 temples). Somewhere far in the mountains. The sun almost going down.

On the southside difficult to reach the cliffs.

Seaweed is one of the pillars of the economy.

And fishing of course.

Here they prepare a big fish for us in the village of Seta.

And we were so lucky to join a ceremony in the big familytemple in Kutampi. Most of the villagers also joined. Very special.

Here the wife of Seta comes back from the temple with a tower of offerings on her head.
